Taste of Cambridge 2014 Schedule of Events

The Taste of Cambridge Crab Cook-Off and Festival returns for its 11th(!) year on July 11, 2015 from 5-10pm. Entry to the Taste of Cambridge street festival is free. Tickets to the Crab Cook-Off cost $30 at the event (while they last). Only ticketholders get to sample dishes and cast votes for their favorite crab cakes, craps soups, crab balls, and crab specialty dishes.

 

 

 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS


5-8 pm: Crab Tasting

You need a ballot to taste the Crab Cook-Off dishes. Buy in advance or at the event at Ticket/Ballot Booth, Race & Gay Streets.

 

5-10pm: Live Music

• 5-5:45 pm: Pete Baker, accoustic set, Muir Stage.

• 5-6:15 pm: Sam Pugh, accoustic set, Race Stage.

• 6-6:45 pm: So Last Year, live band, Muir Stage.

• 6:45-7:30 pm: Flatland Drive, live band, Muir Stage.

• 8:30-9:30 pm: Jess & Ben, accoustic duo, Muir Stage.

• 9-10 pm: Maze Wave, live band, Race Stage.

 

5pm: Juggling with Cascading Carlos
In the Kids' Area*, near 421 Race St.

 

5:45pm: Dance Demonstration with ABM Dance TeamMuir Stage.
 

6pm: Watermelon Eating Contest; Race Stage.


6:30pm: Crabpicking Contest; Race Stage.

 

7:15 pm: Hula Hoop Contest; Race Stage.


7:45pm: Dance Demonstration with Eastern Shore Dance Academy; Race Stage.


8pm: Crab Cook-Off Winners Announced!
Judges’ Choice Winners announced. Race & Gay Sts. -  the winner will qualify to compete in the World Food Championships in Kissimmee, FL!
(Watch for ‘People’s Choice’ winners at CambridgeMainStreet.com the following week.)

 

10pm: Taste of Cambridge ends (but stay for live music in local restaurants including Jimmie & Sook's, 527 Poplar Street; RAR Brewing, 504 Poplar St.; Canvasback, 420 Race St.; and Stoked, 413 Muir Street.
