FARMERS MARKET

 

The Cambridge Main Street Farmers Market is open May through mid-October at Long Wharf Park in Cambridge, MD, on Thursday afternoons, 3-6pm. It's one of the only waterfront farmers' markets in the state.

Here are some of the vendors that joined us for the 2015 season...

 
Beasley Farms: The Beasley Family from Beasley Farm is a regular at the farmers' market. this is a  small family operation which has been active since 1945. The Beasley Farm grows corn, green beans, squash, cucumbers, cantaloupes and much much more.


Bob's Sharpening Service: Whether it's kitchen knives or gardening tools, Bob can put a razor edge on it. Resotred knives for sale and loaners availalbe while your knives are getting intensive care at Bob's shop.


Butter Pot Farms: Lettuce, tomatoes, beets, arugula, kale, cantaloupe, asparagus, radishes, squash, cucumbers, sunflowers, bouquets and plants. Linda Wilson from Butter Pot Farm has been selling fresh organic vegetables in Cambridge since 1997. Mark and Linda grow certified organic seasonal vegetables, tomatoes, melons and sunflowers to mention just a few. All their crops are started from seed and transplanted in the field.


Catnap Gardens: Reva Winkler from Catnap Gardens and Nursery specializes in growing "not your usual" bedding plants and flowering shrubs. hey also use natural growing methods to produce herbs, heirloom tomatoes, and a variety of sweet and hot peppers for transplants in the spring and vegetables throughout the summer. Catnap Gardens is located in the Neck District.


Cedar Run Cattle Farms: Beef, pork, chicken, turkey, eggs, bbq sauce & seasonings, gluten-free bread. There are no hormones, growth stimulants, or antibiotics in the meats. Everything is grass fed and free range. Visit Cedar Run Farm's website.

Harris Farms: Harris Farms is located in Preston and has been in the family since 1832. They grow a variety of vegetables and melons. They also have beautiful potted flowers, plants and herbs grown in their green houses. Visit them online at the Harris Farms website.

SB Bison Farms: Your stop for the freshest bison meat here on the shore. Bison is a low fat, nutritional red meat with excellent flavor.
